Three Ingredient Cake

Sugar, eggs and peanut butter. That’s all you need to bake this three ingredient cake. If you have these around, then in an hour you would be eating this cake.

This cake is gluten-free just because we don’t use flour at all. The three ingredient cake looks and smells and tastes like something far fancier than its 3 ingredients that compose it. Its structure and lightness is given by the mighty eggs. The peanut butter gives a rich, full aroma. The little suger we use makes it look like a caramel, it perfectly browns the look of the three ingredient cake. Yummy, delicious!

Three Ingredient Cake – RECIPE

Three Ingredient Cake needs:

  • 8 ounces creamy peanut butter;
  • 4 large eggs;
  • 3/4 cup sugar;

Optional garnish for the Three Ingredient Cake:

  • whipped cream
  • glaze
  • icing of your choice

How to make Three Ingredient Cake:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a cake pan and line it with parchment paper. Grease the top of the parchment paper, as well. This will ensure easy removal later.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the eggs they double their volume. High speed, 8 minutes. Simple!
  3. Add the sugar and beat one more minute, until all fully combined, on medium-high speed.
  4. Add the peanut butter. Mix on the lowest setting only until no streaks remain and the color is consistent.
  5. Pour the batter in your prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a knife or cake tester inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Immediately run a sharp knife along the perimeter of the cake pan to loosen the edges. Let the cake cool completely before inverting on to a cake platter and serving. Store in the refrigerator, but serve at room temperature.
